Could have attracted same crowd at roadside Paan shop, Lalu mocks Modi’s sankalp rally

New Delhi: Could have easily attracted the same amount of people to a roadside paan shop said Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief on Sunday taking a potshot at PM Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Sankalp rally and termed the event as nothing more than an ‘illusion’.
“Narendra Modi, Nitish and Paswan have worked for months, using government resources, to organise the rally at Gandhi Maidan. The number of people the rally has attracted is similar to the gathering I could have attracted at a roadside paan shop. Go on, men, keep trying, ask organisers to zoom the camera more,” Lalu tweeted.
The former Bihar CM used the hashtag #BiharRejectsModi further went on claim that one can lie and throw ‘jumlas’ in desperation but “their self-confidence is so much shaken by the possible defeat that they are speaking Hindi using ‘speech teleprompter’,” he tweeted.
Cautioning people earlier in the day, Modi said that opposition’s mahagathbandhan is “personal and for their own family”.
“Had the Mahamilavat government been there, there wouldn’t have been any decision or development because they have a habit of developing themselves,” Modi said addressing the Sankalp rally in Patna.
Not only he called opposition’s mahagathbandhan which is no way any different from BJP’s merger with its allies as personal but has also attacked Congress and its allies for demoralising security forces by asking for proof of air strikes against terror camps in Pakistan and for “making the enemies smile” by issuing statements.
