Hyderabad : The commissioner’s task force, south zone team of Hyderabad and the Chandrayangutta police apprehended two cell phone snatchers on Thursday.
Police officials recovered two cell phones and a bike from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as B Naresh and Rangapuram Kumar, both 19-year-olds.
According to the Police, the duo are childhood friends. While Naresh works as a labour in the film industry, Kumar is an auto driver. After work, they used to meet at a common place and consume alcohol together.
They were both interested in making videos on Tik-Tok but didn’t have a smartphone to shoot the videos.
They then planned and stole two cell phones under the limits of Chandrayangutta and Chatrinaka Police Stations.
The apprehended persons along with the recovered property were handed over to the SHO Chandrayangutta Police Station for taking further action.
