Xiaomi unveiled its new Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone featuring a 64MP camera this week. The device uses Samsung’s new 64MP GM1 sensor and will be the world’s first 64MP camera phone when it is released on September 3rd. Following close behind is the Realme XT which will be released on September 20th.
https://youtu.be/WUbupevklys The smartphone uses Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor, equipped with ISOCELL Plus technology and a staggering 64 million pixels. Xiaomi says the camera delivers insanely high-resolution photos that can be used for prints as tall as 3.26 meters in height. In addition to the 64MP primary camera, the device is equipped with an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 120° field of view, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro has a large 6.53” FHD+ dot drop display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and rear. Other features include an IP52 splash-proof rating, 18W Type-C fast charging, multifunctional NFC, IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, 1217SLS speakers and Smart PA, and a 4500mAh battery. The phone comes in three colours, Mineral Grey, Pearl White and Forest Green.
Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G90T processor, an octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.05GHz. Powering the gaming experience is Arm Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU with a max frequency of 800MHz, providing AI power up to 1TMACs. Combining this with the powerful LiquidCool system, Redmi Note 8 Pro can sustain peak performance for extended periods, so users can game high-speed and hassle-free.
