No more bustling, get ‘UAE Work Permits’ in 48 hours: Ministry

Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that work permit in the UAE can now be acquired within two working days.
“Business owners can obtain work permits through the smart committee service, which actions the establishment’s request electronically and around the clock,” MoHRE said, Khaleej Times reports .
The employer or his representative no longer has to physically go to MoHRE but can now submit the application through MoHRE’s app or website which is available 24/7, if all the requirements are complete, the work permit will be issued in 48 hours, explained the staff at Gitex technology Week.
Procuring work permit in UAE, involves MoHRE and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of the emirate where the individual is employed.
AT first the work permit is obtained from the MoHRE. This allows the holder to enter and stay in the country for employment for two months from the date of issue.
Now business owners can obtain work permits through the smart committee service within two days said the sources.
