Hyderabad: Gang rape in Pahadi Shareef area, 13 held

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police arrested 13 accused persons for allegedly raping a woman in Pahadi Shareef area of Old City.
Accused persons of the case The accused are identified as M. Prashant Reddy (30), resident of Saroornagar, M. Anil Reddy (26), resident of Karmanghat, R. Bharat (26), resident of Chandrayangutta, B. Pawan Kumar (29), resident of Aliabad, C. Hanumantu (25), resident of Aliabad, V. Ravinder (37), resident of Devarakonda, Nalgonda, B. Venkat Reddy (51), resident of Maheshwaram, J. Ravinder alias Ravi Naik (32), resident of Maheshwaram, C. Yadaiah (41), resident of Maheshwaram, J. Raju (32), resident of Maheshwaram, B. Suresh (35), resident of Maheshwaram, A. Lokesh (33), resident of Karmanghat and N. Vijay Kumar (43), resident of Maheshwaram.
Two accused persons namely; Janardhan Reddy and Chandrasekhar Reddy are absconding.
According to the report of the police, the woman was allegedly gang-raped by the accused persons in a farmhouse. Later, the accused persons threatened her husband and assaulted him. They also got the signatures of both the husband and wife on a compromise deal and paid Rs. 1.02 lakh to a middle man by name Suresh for helping in arriving at the compromise.
The accused persons were arrested on the basis of the complaint made by the husband of the victim. Police registered a case against the accused under SCs, STs Act and arrested them.
