Telangana: Omani national attempts to rape class X girl, held

Hyderabad: Despite stringent laws to protect women and children from sexual crimes, miscreants are making attempts to commit offense.
In one such incident, two persons including an Omani national attempted to rape a girl, student of class X. This incident took place in Amanagallu Village, Kadthal.
As per the details of the incident, the accused who was in auto offered a lift to the girl who was returning home from school. However, after covering a few distance, the miscreants parked the auto and made an attempt to rape the girl.
Luckily, the girl managed to escape from the clutches of the miscreants. Locals not only assaulted the accused but also handed over them to police.
The girl who received minor injuries while escaping from the accused persons was admitted to a hospital.
