UP: Woman burnt to death over dowry

Muzaffarnagar: Dowry harassment has led to a woman’s death in Saidham Colony in the city after she was burnt to death.
According to reports, the woman was allegedly burnt to death by her in-laws over dowry.
The incident happened on Thursday evening in Civil Lines police station area here.
The victim Sugna was declared brought dead after she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Station House Officer Sameypal Atri said a dowry case has been registered against four people including her husband Arun Kumar who was absconding.
The victim’s family too lodged a complaint against the in laws where they stated her in-laws were harassing her over dowry since her marriage to Kumar one-and-half-years ago.
