Mumbai: Weeks after daughter Janhvi Kapoor fondly paid tribute to her late mother on her birth anniversary, Amitabh Bachchan remembered late Sridevi on his quiz show  Kaun Banega Crorepati  during its farewell week. This was after Bachchan asked one of his KBC contestants to identify the voice of an actress from the audio clip.
KBC question The question read, “In this audio clip, which actress can be heard sharing the story of a dance sequence?” The options were Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia and Meenakshi Seshadri. In the audio, the actress in question was heard narrating a story as she said, “During the shooting of the film  Nageena,  the set was about to end. The schedule was about to end when the producer came to (choreographer) Saroj (Khan) ji and told her, “Now we are left with one the climax song and this set will be destroyed tomorrow. And you know how Saroj ji is. She said, “Oh, no problem. we will finish the shooting tonight.” I arrived at 6.45 and we kept shooting at 4 AM. Only the last music was left and I was given just a wall. The director said that I could dance as much as possible but only against the wall.” The correct answer was Sridevi, who acted in  Nageena  opposite Rishi Kapoor. The 1986 film, which also featured the late Amrish Puri, and was a massive hit as its songs also went on to become hugely popular.
