After entertaining the audiences on the OTT platform, the most subscribed and popular production “Planet Marathi” to launch television shows. Today while speaking to a group of media the founder of the company announced it officially.
“We are blessed and happy to officially announce our success to launch television shows for our loyal viewers. It has only become possible for them. We will now entertain them in a better and more proper way. We are also seeking the tv platform to promote the culture and language of Maharashtra in a more influencing way,” Akshay said in a statement while talking to us.
Later talking about the importance of the language in the modern era he said, “Marathi literature in the field of drama saw an opening with Vishnudas Bhave’s work. B P. Kirloskar (Saubhadra, Sakuntala, and Ramarajaya-Viyoga), G B Deval (Sharada), R G Gadkari (Ekach Pyala), Mama Warerkar (Apporva Bengal) and P L Deshpande (Amaldar) are some great Marathi dramatists.
Apart from this, many writers like Vijay Tendulkar and C.T.Dhanolkar have rendered good plays in Marathi. Hari Narayan Apte’s (1864-1919) Madhali Sthiti was the first novel to be published in Marathi followed by his other important novels, Ushanka, Mi and Pan Lakshat Kon Gheto. Baba Padamji’s Yamuna Paryatan, Natha Madhav, C.V.Vaidya, Prof V.M. Joshi, V.S.Khandekar Sane Guruji, Kusumvati Deshpande, Kamalabai Tilak are the prominent novelists of the Marathi language. In the field of the short story, Diwakar Krishna, H N Apte, and V S Gurjar are the renowned writers. S.M. Mate, Durga Bhagwat, N.S. Phadke is a well-known essayists in Marathi.” Earlier “Planet Marathi” has produced a number of chat shows with popular celebrities and politicians.
