New Delhi: The festive season is just around the corner and bank holidays have been declared by the central government applicable to all public as well as private banks.
The banks shall remain closed for a total 11 days in the month of October on account of national holidays like Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra, Diwali and other national events, TN reports .
However, the holiday dates may differ from one state to another and from one bank to another.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification, October holiday list is inclusive of the second and fourth Saturdays, Sundays and they are exclusive of the public holidays in different states.
The banks and government offices shall function for only 20 days in the month of October.
Individuals interested in planning a visit to your bank in the month of October are advised to check the list of bank holidays once.
