SRINAGR: Tamheed Bukhari, son of veteran journalist and Editor-in-Chief of English daily “Rising Kashmir” late Syed Shujaat Bukhari has secured 95 per cent mark in the 10th class examination, the results of which were declared Saturday.
Tamheed, the elder of Bukhari’s two children wants to become a journalist like his father.
“I thank god that despite the trying times, I was able to do it,” Tamheed told ThePrint. “I will take up humanities and become a journalist. I know what it means to be one,” he added, “My father always told the truth and I will do the same… I miss him.” Taking to social networking site Twitter, Mehbooba wrote: “Best wishes to Tamheed, son of Shujaat Bukhari, Sehar, granddaughter of SASG & all others who passed Class 10 board exams today. To those who didn’t make it, there is no shortcut to hard work. The killing drew wide condemnation from several journalist bodies and politicians across India and demanded swift action against the forces responsible for the coward act.
