Pune: Another BJP rebel candidate Seema Savale was expelled after the party received orders from the state president of BJP Maharashtra Chandrakant Patil on Saturday.
Ms Savale is a former standing committee chairman of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), who had filed her nomination from Daryapur Assembly constituency in Amravati district, HT reports .
While Shiv Sena had fielded candidate Ramesh Bundile from the same Daryapur Constituency.
She is also a corporator from Indrayaninagar, Bhosari, Prabhag-8 after she won the seat consecutively on the Shiv Sena ticket in 2007 and 2012.
The party also expelled corporator Balasaheb Ovhal on Thursday after he did not withdraw his nominations against the official candidates from the respective assembly constituency.
Balasaheb Ovhal was contesting from the Pimpri Assembly constituency on an independent ticket like Corporator Seema.
