New Delhi: A group of Muslim intellectuals led by Lt. General Zameeruddin Shah, Former VC of AMU proposed that the Muslims of India should gift the Babri Masjid land to the Hindus. They felt that even if Supreme Court verdict is in favour of the Muslims, it may not be possible to construct Masjid again.
Various Muslims reacted against this suggestion. Here are some of their opinions: Mr. Zafaryab Jilani Convener of Babri Masjid Action Committee and noted lawyer, Mr. Zafaryab Jilani who is also member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board told that the board is no way concerned with the proposal of the Muslims.
He further told that 99% Muslims believe that the land of the Masjid can neither be gifted nor sold out. It is the law of the Muslims. Hence no body has any authority to change its status.
