Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Rajat Kumar has appealed to the citizens to verify their names, house address, polling stations, constituency and so on through Electors Verification Program during the inauguration of Electors Verification Program portal at GHMC Head office here today.
Dr. Rajat Kumar said the idea was to empower the voters to access electoral details, self-authenticate and then get mistakes rectified, such as in Names, age, address additions, and deletions if any. Moreover, it will save a lot of time. He also appealed to voters to verify their entries through the facilities provided by the Election Commission apart from EVP, others such as NVSP portal, the Voter Helpline, Mobile APP and through dialing 1950 Number.
Dr. Rajat Kumar said as the citizens apply for Driving License, passport by submitting required documents, the same efforts/interest should be shown in getting enrollment of their names in voter list for which the Election Commission was providing various accesses to enroll as voters and it is responsibility of the citizens to utilize these opportunities for making 100 % details are correct in the voters list.
   The CEO asked the officials to involve Residential Welfare Associations apart from BLOs and also appealed to IT employees and others to utilize services provided and enroll/update their particulars.
Joint Addl. CEO Ravi Kiran, Commissioner & DEO Hyderabad Lokesh  Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Hari Chandana, Addl Commissioner, Elections Jayaraj Kennedy, Joint Commissioner Pankaja and others attended the meeting.
