Hyderabad: Any government in the world takes pride in maintaining its cultural heritage and the buildings and monuments of historical importance. Many countries have preserved the monuments which date back to thousands of years and spent a lot of money on their conservation.
Egyptian pyramids have been converted into tourist spots where thousands of tourists from all parts of the world visit every year.
Archaeology Department maintained the historical monuments during the erstwhile Congress and TDP governments. It was expected of TRS government of Telangana that it would pay special attention to the conservation of ancient buildings.
It seems that TRS govt. has formulated a strategy to wipe out the monuments of Asifjahi period.
Unani Dispensary located at Charminar is in dilapidated condition. CM of TS has shown no interest to get it repaired. He perhaps doesn’t want to promote the Unani system of medicine.
In the same manner, no interest is being shown to get the Osmania General Hospital building repaired. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the state.
