Hyderabad : The death of young woman Monika at Ameerpet Metro station on Sunday has raised questions about the quality of works of Hyderabad Metro Rail, leading to a statutory investigation into the mishap and its causes.
On Tuesday, Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), JK Garg, under the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation reached the accident spot Ameerpet station for an inspection.
The CMRS official carried out a preliminary inspection, accompanied by Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) managing director NVS Reddy, Deputy CMRS Ram Meher, engineers of HMRL and L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRH) at the accident site at Ameerpet station.

Officials said that CMRS will hold a public hearing over the issue at Metro Rail Bhavan on October 3.
