Hyderabad: Telangana state cabinet minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav rejected All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supremo and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s claim that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) had offered the deputy mayor’s of to AIMIM.
Earlier, congratulating the newly elected Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) mayor Vijayalaxmi and deputy mayor Mothe Srilatha, Owaisi tweeted, “Congratulations to the newly elected Mayor & Deputy Mayor of GHMC. Hope that, under their leadership, Hyderabad will be taken to new heights and public works will be actively taken up in areas that need them the most, including Old City of Hyderabad”.

He further stated that the AIMIM has extended support to the TRS candidates voluntarily.
Commenting on the allegation of a secret alliance existing between the AIMIM and TRS, the minister said that the BJP is unable to digest the fact that two women bagged the top two posts in GHMC. He in fact alleged that the BJP had formed an alliance with the Congress earlier for the Manikonda and Makthal civic bodies.
