Hyderabad: Maulana Jafar Pasha convened a meeting of Muslim clerics of the city and impressed up on them to formulate a joint strategy to campaign against mob lynching which is increasing in the country.
It was resolved to convene another meeting within two days to draft a strategy to counter mob lynching. It was also decided to take stock of the rule of the law and to find out the causes of increasing instances of mob lynching. It was stressed that there is a need to awaken consciousness among the Muslim Ummah.
The meeting was attended by Mufti Abdul Ghani Mazahari, Mufti Sadiq Mohiuddin Faheem, Mufti Ghiyas Rehmani, Maulana Ghiyas Rishadi, Maulana Safi Ahmed Madani, Maulana Raheemuddin Ansari, Mr. Ziyauddin Nayyar, Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin and others.
Talking to newsmen, after the meeting, Maulana Jafar Pasha told that incidents of mob lynching are continuously occurring in the north India and it has become essential to formulate a common strategy to combat it.
He also said that a meeting will be held within two days to formulate strategy. The participants of the meeting resolved to form a separate board for campaigning against mob lynching.
They also expressed their apprehension that such incidents might be repeated in the South India also on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
