Hyderabad: GHMC sealed seven hostels, including one ladies hostel, in Ameerpet on Wednesday. Officials were left aghast by the sight of rotten vegetables, stale food in the fridge, lack of silt chambers, and hostels operating without any trade license.
GHMC officials conducted inspections on a number of hostels in SR Nagar on Monday. Almost all hostels used rotten vegetables and stored food. Officials issued notices to the hostels and the kitchens of the hostels for disposal of waste water on these roads without the construction of silt chambers in the hostels. Khairtabad Medical Officer Bhargav Narayana led the team which inspected a total of seven hostels.
