Hyderabad: A free medical camp was organised by Insaan Foundation at V-Care Clinic in Aghapura under Nampally Constituency on Sunday.
Seven doctors of various hospitals, Dr Azheel Khalidi, Dr Arif Uz Zaman, Dr MD Salman, Dr Nawaz Khan, Dr MD Saleem, Dr Iram Jowher, Dr Raheel Raza and other participated in the medical camp.
Insaan Foundation President and Vice-president of Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee Osman Mohammed Khan said, “ The foundation was organising free medical camp to the poor as the treatment has become a costly affair these days. ECG, BP, blood test and other several tests were conducted for about 500 poor people at the camp.” He further adds that the lakes in the city are one of the prime reasons for the spread of all vector-borne diseases. There are more than 185 lakes in Hyderabad and none of them is clean and well-maintained.
Garbage and sewerage is let into the lakes, which makes it a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. To stop the mosquito menace, first Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) should clean up all our lakes and turn them into freshwater bodies, Osman added.
They were given medical advice according to their problems and medicines were given free.
