Hyderabad: KCR to attend mass singing of National anthem on Aug 16

Hyderabad : Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will take part in the state-sponsored ‘Telangana Rashtra Samoohika Jateeya Geeta Alapana’ (mass singing of the national anthem) on August 16 at GPO Circle, Abids here on Tuesday.
Inspecting arrangements, the chief secretary Somesh Kumar said the event will commence at 11:30 am throughout gram panchayats, urban local bodies, traffic junctions, educational institutions, jails, offices, and marketplaces, among others.
Urging people to show active participation Kumar said everyone should respect the anthem while singing.
All district collectors, superintendents and police commissioners have been instructed to make it a grand success, said Kumar.
