Hyderabad: Second woman police inspector appointed by commissioner

Hyderabad : City police commissioner CV Anand on Tuesday appointed another woman cop as a full fledged station house officer (SHO) of a law and order police station.
P Padmaja who was posted at the Begumpet Women’s police station as an inspector has been transferred to the Sultan Bazar police station as Station House Officer, which falls under the east zone of the Hyderabad police’s jurisdiction.
After taking charge as Hyderabad’s police commissioner C V Anand had earlier appointed another woman cop Madhulatha as the city’s first woman SHO of the Lalaguda police station.
The Sultan Bazaar inspector, Bikshapati, was last week suspended on the charges of encouraging gambling in the area. Since the post had fallen vacant.
