Hyderabad: Acting tough against violation of Swachh activities in the city, GHMC imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on ‘Sweet Magic’ restaurant at KPHB on Wednesday.
The civic body imposed the fine for maintaining unhygienic conditions, usage of plastic and for not segmenting dry and wet waste, which is an offense under many sections of HMC Act 1955.
Corporation officials said that the fines are being imposed to deter individuals and establishments for impeding the Swachhata programmes and ‘behaving irresponsibly,’ and not to boost the revenue of civic body.
They said the operations for inspections on restaurants will continue.
