Kannan Gopinathan , who tender his resignation on August 21 from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) has rejected the government order asking him to resume the duty till his resignation is accepted.
The 33-year-old bureaucrat submitted resignation from the service in Union Territory Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu in protest against the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. This would be considered as unauthorized leave and it would be processed in that way,” Kannan says.

The notice was posted outside Kannan’s government guest house room. The 2012 AGMUT cadre IAS officer tender his resignation from the service since he wanted his freedom of expression back and could freely respond on the Kashmir issue.
