Hyderabad: In the new Municipal Act of Telangana, path-breaking and innovative changes in Town Planning have been incorporated. In order to change the existing rules to comply with the new Act, MA&UD Minister K Tarakarama Rao held a meeting with MA&UD Principal Secretary, DTCP Director, Chief City Planner, GHMC and other officials today. Subject matter experts Bhide, retired OSD, HMDA and retired deputy planners were also invited.
During the meeting, KTR said the theme to bring about these changes was to simplify the procedure and process to the maximum extent so far as Town Planning is concerned. The ease of convenience for citizens, availability of all information in a simplified manner and need to cut down any physical interaction was emphasized. The Minister pointed out that there should be multiple access points for obtaining required permissions, which includes MeeSeva, mobile app, website of the ULB, KIOSK at the ULB among others.
It was also decided to incorporate QR based Digital Door Numbering and comprehensive Master Plan for each ULB. It was also decided to have a uniform Customer number for all municipal queries pertaining to the new Act.
