Kendo India Federation’s programme

His journey in Martial Arts began in the mid 1970s, and since 1999, he has dedicated his art and life to Kendo by bringing together the two cultures – Indian and Japanese. Kendo India Federation, which is the brainchild of Prof. Dr. Siddiq Mahmoodi, is the first Kendo center in India. It is now situated in Chaderghat. Kendo is reaching every household in the city gradually. Today, a lot of sports enthusiasts are enrolling for Kendo – Thanks to Prof. Dr. Siddiq Mahmoodi and his unconditional passion and efforts for Kendo and Japanese culture. Recently, Prof. Dr. Siddiq Mahmoodi’s services and efforts have been recognized and he has been presented the HONORARY CITIZENSHIP OF MIYOSHI, JAPAN IN 2006, and thereafter many awards and honors have been presented to him for his dedicated services in promotion of Traditional Martial Arts.
