Chennai, Nov 21 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that the people of Tamil Nadu will teach a fitting lesson to those practicing family politics as was done in the other states.
Shah was here to dedicate to the people a water reservoir and to lay the foundation stones for various infrastructure projects in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking at a function here, Shah said that after coming to power at the Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been carrying out a war against corruption, family politics and caste politics.
He said that people in different states are teaching lessons to those practicing family politics and the same will happen in Tamil Nadu, obliquely referring to the major opposition party, the DMK.
Shah said in Tamil Nadu there is a family party and in the upcoming elections it will be the democratic party that will triumph over the family party. Tamil Nadu will go to the polls next year.
Expressing surprise at the Congress and the DMK talking about corruption, Shah said both the parties do not have any right to talk about it, as it is them who had indulged in the Rs 1.76 lakh crore 2G spectrum scam.
