Bhopal: Pre-wedding shoots have become common in India. Couples feel that it is necessary to build rapport between them and the photographer. It usually held two to three months before the wedding.
However, some sections of society feel that it is ‘obscene’.
In Bhopal, members of the Gujarati, Jain and Sindhi communities took a controversial decision by imposing a ban on pre-wedding shoots. They threatened to boycott the families who violate the ban.
Terming pre-wedding shoot ‘wrong’, National General Secretary of Gujarati, Samaj Sanjay Patel said that the decision was taken as many marriages break even before they take off.
Bhopal Jain Samaj President, Pramod Himanshu Jain said that their spiritual guru termed it “obscene”.
Meanwhile, Bhagwan Das Israni, President of the Bhopal Sindhi community said that they will also pass a resolution to ban the tradition.
