Washington: US has alleged that Iran is directly involved in the attacks made on the two plants of world’s biggest oil company Aramco in Saudi Arabia. However, Iran has rebutted the claim.
In his twitter message Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed Iran for an attack at a Saudi oil field. “Amid all the calls for de-escalation, Iran has now launched an unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply. There is no evidence the attacks came from Yemen,” Tehran is behind nearly 100 attacks on Saudi Arabia while Rouhani and Zarif pretend to engage in diplomacy. Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, rejected the accusation that Iran was behind the attack.
Saudi Arabia’s oil industry came under a direct attack on Saturday as Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi group carried out drone attacks on Aramco oil plants.
