Hyderabad: TRS MLC K Prabhakar today flayed that the Centre miserably failed to accord national status to Kaleshwaram project and did not allow funds in the budget 2019. Addressing a press conference here charged that the Centre is showing step-motherly attitude towards the Telangana state and others in Southern India.
The maiden budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Parliament has no mention of any irrigation projects, new schemes or funding for flagship programs Prabhakar charged. The TRS leader accused the ruling BJP in the Centre of failing to provide the necessary push to the irrigation projects like Kaleshwaram and Palamur Ranga Reddy lift irrigation in the state.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has recently dedicated to the nation Kaleshwaram project that aims to irrigate 45 lakh acres he claimed. Though the Modi Government is talking of all-round development in all states it failed to make any specific allocations. Despite Niti Ayog recommendations for Rs 24000 cr towards Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya the Centre did not give any funds he fumed.
The BJP is making false claims in the state to form the government in the next elections which is of no use he said. The BJP might get 4 MPs and cannot compete with the TRS which has won the mandate for the second time with welfare and development programs he said.
