Hyderabad: A delegation of Telangana Urdu Working Journalists’ Federation today met with AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi at his Darussalam office.
The delegation headed by state general secretary Syed Ghouse Mohiuddin and Convener of Small & Medium newspapers committee SSK Hussaini Iqbal brought to the notice of Owaisi the problems faced by small & medium Urdu newspapers especially who are operating in the State. The delegation requested for amendment of G.O. 239 to relax norms for recognition and to ease out difficulties in getting accreditation cards, health cards and so on.
     Asaduddin instructed his party MLAs to raise the issue in the Assembly during Zero Hour upon which Bahadurpura MLA Mouzam Khan asked the government to support small newspapers. On behalf of the State government, Home Minister Mahmood Ali responded and promised to take appropriate steps in this direction. Asaduddin also assured the delegation to take their problems to the State government and make the government come out with suitable solutions.
The delegation comprised Habeeb Ali al Jeelani, TUWJF Joint Secretary, Mohammad Amjad Ali, Organising Secretary, Qadeer Farooqui, Nayeem Ghori, Aalam Mehdi, M R Ghori and others.
