Hyderabad: Former MP and senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday alleged that CM KCR didn’t have a commitment to banning uranium extraction. He also alleged that the CM had forgotten the issue after passing a  resolution opposing uranium extraction.
He said that the CM had not followed up on the issue with the central government. Rao alleged that the officials of the central government were still trying to carry out their efforts to extract uranium.        Speaking to media persons, he asked CM as to how long he would cheat the people of the state. He also wondered as to why KCR and his counterpart from AP YS Jaganmohan Reddy were not approaching the central government with a plea to stop the uranium mining process. He said that they would intensify their agitation on the issue after the completion of the Huzurnagar Assembly by-elections.
