Karwan-e-Mohabbat has released a video with the title, “What kind of India do we want?” The video shows visuals of peaceful protests by the students and police excessiveness along with a statement “threatened, harassed, beaten, vandalised, arrested, yet we will not be silenced.” Addressing at Jamia Millia Islamia, author and activist Harsh Mander asserts “this fight is first for our country, then for our constitution and then for love.” Harsh Mander says we should counter hate with love. He advises, “They will provoke us for violence but we should not get provoked.” Explaining why the protests are actually being carried out the video noted that people have come to streets across the country for right to equality, right to voice their opinion and for the right to citizenship.
The video also shows a visual in which Anugya a student o Jamia Millia Islamia says amid tears that she doesn’t feel safe in the entire country. “I do not know where I will go and be lynched by the police itself. “I do not know tomorrow if my friends would be Indians”, she added.
