Mumbai: Despite winning the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections, BJP- Shiv Sena are failing to strike the right cord as both the parties are squabbling over the CM’s post.
The saffron party BJP and Shiv Sena have currently suspended all discussions and negotiations over forming the next government in Maharashtra as Shiv Sena demanding a “50:50” deal under which the CM’s post would be shared by the two parties for two-and-a-half-years each, India today reports .
The talks have been put on hold as the parties are not seeing eye-to-eye, and may resume tomorrow.
Interestingly, the talks have been suspended after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis asserted he would return as CM and there was no such dead like 50-50 between BJP and Shiv Sena.
“I have no doubt that I will be the CM. There is no plan B or C. There is only plan A, and that will work,” Devendra Fadnavis said today.
Ever since the results are declared, the two parties who have agreed for alliance have been fighting for equal seat share.
