Without compromising on your privacy, the popular messaging application ‘WhatsApp’ is continuously working on improvising its features in order to curb the crime rate that has increased over false alarms, rumors forwarded on Whatsapp.
The messaging app has now implemented a group privacy setting for users in India which enables you to choose who can add you to a particular group, with the option of choose ‘nobody’.
Now with this small improvement in the privacy setting, this feature is available for both Android as well as iOS devices.
According to a report published in the WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has added a new blacklist option in the privacy settings.
The user can now verify the privacy settings of your group, in the ‘Who can add me to groups’ settings, in addition to Everyone and My contacts, with a third option as well called ‘My Contacts Except’ similar to that of our stories privacy feature .
This enables us to allow or reject a user from adding us into a group as the new option will allow you to select the users that must obtain approval before adding you to a group.
