Yes you heard it right, this startup tech company is actually looking for a ‘kind and friendly’ human faces that can be used on robots, indiatoday reports .
These faces will be used as virtual friends for elderly people, and for the same, they have lodged a request with the company Geomiq.com.
The company did not give in to the details but said they were approached by a robotics company to help with the finishing touches to a ‘state-of-art humanoid robot.’ People are a little concerned about this demand and are asking why can’t the company just make a new face exactly like Sophia, the social humanoid robot developed by Hong Kong based company Hanson Robotics.
Technology reporter Rowland Manthorpe responding to this news called it a bad sci-fi plot on Twitter.
